Description

Mystery surrounds so many of the lives, both saved and lost, in the Titanic tragedy. One of those mysteries--what happened to the Chinese men aboard Titanic--intrigued researcher Steven Schwankert enough that he and a team of researchers took the deepest of dives to discover what happened to this small group of men.

Presented along with our friends at Colorado Asian Pacific United, join us at the Alamo Drafthouse to talk with Steven about this journey of discovery and then watch the ultimate result: the documentary "The Six." In this not-to-be-missed fundraising event for each organization, we'll learn the fate of the six Chinese passengers and see what it takes to track down a historical mystery.

About Colorado Asian Pacific United:  Colorado Asian Pacific United (CAPU) is a coalition of Asian American and Pacific Islander leaders, creatives, and allies in Denver. We strive to enhance and enrich the Asian American and Pacific Islander experiences in Colorado, and is committed to advancing racial diversity, solidarity, and equity through collaboration, celebration, and education

We are currently focused on honoring and memorializing Denver’s Historic Chinatown that used to exist in Lower Downtown in the late 1800s. There is little to no evidence or documentation of the Chinatown, and CAPU hopes to educate the wider public on this important part of Colorado history. Keep up with CAPU at www.coloradoasianpacificunited.org.
