Melody Epperson Studio Tour-- Enter the Conversation: Art of Women’s Rights
03/01/2021 07:00 PM - 08:00 PM MT
Join us for a virtual evening with Melody Epperson, the artist behind this upcoming exhibition. Take a tour of Epperson’s studio, getting a glimpse at her creative process, then participate in an intimate look at the exhibit with Epperson where she will answer your questions.
About the Exhibit: As women began their uphill struggle to win the right to vote, they often attended clubs and tea parties. It was at these gatherings that they discussed important social concerns and organized for change. For Epperson’s upcoming exhibit at the Molly Brown House Museum, she has imagined one such tea party and has “invited” sixteen key suffragists. Guests will include women like Alice Paul, Sojourner Truth, and Elizabeth Cady Stanton. Other famous figures are symbolically brought to the tables as well. Imagine the conversations between Sojourner Truth and Ruth Bader Ginsberg! What are the important issues of yesterday and today that warrant their attention?
